That duck hung around us for the rest of the time we were down by the water, as if to say, “hey, what am I? Chopped liver? Didn’t you bring me any bread crusts, even?” And I was all, “Dude, face it, you’ll never be that heron.” But I took pictures of him anyway to make him feel better.
