True love.

RegularDad: So, how’s that dishwasher working out for you?

Me: I love the dishwasher. I truly, absolutely LOVE the dishwasher.

RegularDad: And the house? You like the house?

Me: I love the house.

RegularDad: And…hey, what about me?

Me: You? I love you more than the dishwasher.

Then we broke into a little song and dance. Sort of like this one here. When the subtitles come up, just mentally add the phrase “and we’ll have a working dishwasher” to just about every line, and it should work. Sorta like when you add “between the sheets” to what you find on fortunes inside fortune cookies. Yeah…like that.

There’s no greater Valentine than a working dishwasher. With a box of chocolates on top.

    Fortune cookies?

Oh. My bad. I always added it to the end of the song titles in the hymnal.

He Is Risen! (between the sheets)
Revive Us Again! (between the sheets)

    My personal favorite?
He Is Coming (between the sheets)

LOL!!! Yeah, that last one is a kicker! But still, next time you order Chinese food, give those fortunes a go. It really works. :)

OHmy gosh I laughed so hard at the WSS clip!! It’s so dramatic, but do you know, I cry like a big big baby at the end of that movie every single time. Esp. when she says “Don’t touch him!!” i may have to steal that clip. Really. Wanna hear something really romantic. My mom named me after that movie. She and my dad saw it before they were married and she said “If I ever have a girl, her name will be Maria.” Enter ME five years later….

…meanwhile, there is nothing, ever, more romantic than a dishwasher. Nothing. You’ve got a great Regular Dad.

Maria, I’m right there with ya on West Side Story. Yeah, I know, it’s dated now, but still….It’s WEST SIDE STORY!!!!

And hey, I got the clip from YouTube. You can just take it. No stealing necessary. :)

I really enjoy your blog, but don’t have time to visit as much as I would like here lately. I just wanted to come over and say Hello! I really need to get to the hospital thou. Take care!
Thank you for all your warm wishes!
