Looks like Spongebob could use a nap.

The one bonus about buying a house and moving during the holiday season is that you know exactly who in your neighborhood does this every year:

Because, let’s face it, it’s nice to know ahead of time if the people that live across the street from you have this sort of fever. Because that could really be a deciding factor in whether or not you buy a certain house.

(This isn’t the house across the street from us, by the way. It’s close by, but Not In Visual Range.)

And this picture doesn’t even fit the whole thing in the shot. My wide angle lens couldn’t get all of it in…it was THAT ostentatious. There’s lots more of that inflatable stuff spilling over into the yards on both sides of this place. It just seems to go on FOREVER.

And ever. And ever. And ever.

Oh, I am so in danger of becoming those people. If I ever were divorced from my DH, that is, since he will not let me buy that stuff. And I would NEVER have SpongeBob in my front yard. But I’d love to set up a fake ice rink with moving victorian couples skating around it and holiday music playing on outdoor speakers …

Far too much holiday cheer for me.

I’m one of those “just put candles in the window and call it good” types. That way there aren’t any ladders involved. :)

Oh my. What lengths some people go to. I wonder….do they vent their Holiday Decorating Angst only on the lawn, or does it extend to the inside of the house as well??

Oh, no. People don’t LIKE that house?

    Shoot!

I’m one of THOSE people. The more Christmas, the better.

Well maybe next year I won’t put up ALL the inflatables at once. Just the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of lights.

Mom #1…is that you? Are we neighbors? That would be so cool, that I’d overlook the whole inflatable thing. :)

You’re just upset that there’s no giant inflatable frog, now, admit it. :-)

I’m very picky about “character” stuff at Christmas. Okay, all the time, I guess. Bleh. The Husband threatens me with buying stuff like that just to make me rant.

I love the painting progress on the new house, looks great!

DS would have that in his room, because I won’t have that on the lawn, but he shoves as much Christmas cheer into his room as he possibly can.

    The paint is awesome.

LOL – that is my dh’s dream Christmas house!

You know what’s really funny? They could have seen you snap that picture and have spent Christmas waiting to win the Big Prize for Best Decorated Lawn. Heh.
