Doing my part to show the world that the home- schooling community is more than just a bunch of crazy fundamentalists. There's plain old regular crazy people who homeschool, too. Like me.

Aren’t they pretty when thier wings are out like that?
ooo. What’s for dinner? We’ve been seeing a lot of them around here too. Must be a seasonal/migratory thing.
Great pic. Perhaps a migratory prey? Or a building. When there’s a new building, they always coming out here, as the prey get flushed out.
We saw a bunch of them out at my mil’s farm yesterday, too! Much more than usual. Maybe a seasonal thing. Would be interesting to find out…
These turkey vultures like to ride the warm thermals of air that happen when the seasons change. So you see them in the sky a lot. But they are around all the time. I don’t think they migrate like hawks and birds of prey. Well, owls and eagles don’t migrate either….do they? Anyhow, vultures don’t for sure.
We have had so many hawks around here lately; they’re migrating now. It’s so bad that we can’t put our guinea pig outside to sun herself.
Nice picture. Did you take that with your new camera?
Yep, used the new camera. It’s still fuzzy because I was moving the camera around a lot to get the shots.
Sometimes we see so many of these vultures circling overhead that it makes us want to wave our fists at them and shout: “Hey! We’re perfectly healthy here! Move on, would ya?”
